Australian cloud dental practice management SaaS with a small core engineering team, serving hundreds of Australia's dental practices and thousands of patients. Here I've been the owner of infrastructure and authentication, Rails GraphQL + REST API, AI integration, third party integrations (Healthengine, VoiceStack, Medipass, CoTreat), API-key and webhook management, build pipeline, performance optimization, logging and monitoring, as well as multiple integral frontend platforms.

• Infrastructure and delivery: Architected and operate the full AWS environment (Fargate, Kubernetes, WAF, Elasticsearch) from development to production; built CI/CD on self-hosted GitHub Actions runners in k8s, cutting build-and-deploy from 30+ minutes to under 6 minutes with zero downtime.
• Authentication and access control: Designed the auth layer — JWT issuance and revocation, and a granular ACL/permission system across clinical and administrative roles.
• Third Party Integrations: Built Medicare and DVA claiming and the third-party integration layer (Medipass/Tyro, Healthengine, VoiceStack, CoTreat) with API key management, processing thousands of claims per month.
• LLM integration: Built the production OpenAI integration for clinical documentation assistance — streaming completions into a rich-text editor with cancellation and undo support, plus rate limiting, cost controls and fallback handling on a third-party dependency in a clinical workflow.
• Performance: Cut GraphQL p95 response times to <100ms on complex queries and reduced frontend bundle size 75% via CloudFront edge caching, Redis, and migration to a TypeScript project-references monorepo
• Product delivery: Shipped the native iOS/Android patient app (Zavy Connect), global search, document system, interactive form builder and template editor, clinical notes, and the metrics and monitoring stack.

After a year of doing a lot of software development for the Network Security department, I transitioned to the Software Development department to become one of the first members of the new frontend team. Here, I'd work together with 13 other developers to modernize, design and implement the new React frontend for mnemonic's flagship product Argus, which processes tens of billions of security events every day.

• Mobile: Lead development of the Argus mobile app using Flutter with signature-based FaceID authentication
• Testing: Designed and built an ephemeral selenium-based testing system capable of spinning up required microservices and frontend micro-apps in a dockerized environment to execute isolated end-to-end tests

My role at mnemonic began right after university, where I was initially hired to work as a Network Security Analyst helping design a signature management system for IDS/IDPS, with 20% of my time dedicated to assisting in with analyzing potential network intrusions in the SOC.
